What after-school options do you have? If you are in need of after-school care, talk with your school’s Family Resource Youth Services Center. If your child will be riding a bus home make sure to talk to your child about who they should expect to be home when they are dropped off, where they will be dropped off, and have them practice how they will make it from the bus to their home safely.

Walk it out! Go with your child and practice walking the route they will use to ride the bus. If they will carpool, you might visit the school and show them where they will get out of the car. Call ahead and the school might even let you do a quick peek inside!
