Tip

Who says the teacher has to make the first move? Email your child’s teacher, introduce yourself, thank them for teaching your pride and joy and welcome them to the family! They will be your new parenting partner in many ways so it’s time to get to know one another.

If you have talents or interests to contribute to the class this is a great time to share those. For example, you may not be able to volunteer during class time, but you might have time to assemble packets or other kits at home if the teacher needs help.
